E-Commerce Reports

Last updated: September 12, 2026

If you run an online store using WooCommerce, WP Insights Pro automatically tracks your sales data using a secure, server-side integration. Because purchase data is recorded from the server rather than relying on front-end tracking pixels, sales tracking is not affected by browser ad-blockers and privacy features.

How E-Commerce Attribution Works

WP Insights Pro connects WooCommerce purchases with the visitor sessions that led to them. Purchase revenue can then be attributed to acquisition sources, campaigns, and content, allowing you to see not only how much your store sells, but which sources, campaigns, and content contributed to those sales.

Revenue Snapshot (Scorecards)

At the top of the report, you will find three primary scorecards summarizing your store’s performance for the selected period:

  • Total Revenue: The total value of valid orders included in the selected period.
  • Total Orders: The number of valid orders included in the report for the selected period.
  • Average Order Value (AOV): The average amount spent per order (Total Revenue divided by Total Orders).

Revenue & Orders Over Time (Chart)

Below the scorecards is a dual-axis chart that visualizes your sales trends.

  • The solid line represents your Total Revenue, plotted against the left axis.
  • The bars represent your Total Orders, plotted against the right axis.

This layout allows you to easily correlate spikes in order volume with your overall revenue, whether you are looking at a daily trend over a month or an hourly breakdown for a single day.

Top Acquisition Sources

This table answers the question: “Which marketing channels are driving sales?”

It displays your top-performing Source/Medium combinations (e.g., google.com / cpc or direct / (none)), ranked by the amount of revenue attributed to them. You can see the total Orders and Revenue directly attributed to each traffic source.

Top Assisting Content

This table answers the question: “Which pages on my site help convince visitors to buy?”

Using a linear attribution model, WP Insights Pro evaluates the “journey” a visitor visitor took before making a purchase. The total revenue of the order is distributed evenly across the pages they viewed during that session. This table lists the pages (such as specific blog posts, guides, or product categories) that accumulated the most Assisted Revenue and Assisted Orders, helping you understand which content contributes to revenue.
